Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly assess and update the local underwriting guidelines in accordance with the group and local underwriting strategy, evolving market trends and data-driven insights to align with business objective and strategic plan
  • Develop and implement underwriting initiatives aimed at driving profitable growth and enhancing underwriting discipline
  • Coordinate and support the review exercises in the areas of Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance to ensure that AXA Hong Kong's General Insurance underwriting practices and operations comply with the requirements of the applicable AXA group & local policies and regulations
  • Support the underwriting authority delegation process, ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of delegation records
  • Assist the required exposure reporting as required by group and local Level stakeholders
  • Facilitate the effective integration of Risk Control resources into our underwriting strategy and portfolios, collaborating with Risk Surveyors to optimize their application to drive continuous improvement in the risk management framework for customers
  • Conduct business data and market trend analysis to identify actionable opportunities
  • Develop and implement action plans based on analysis to drive profitable growth and enhance underwriting performance
  • Continuously monitor progress to ensure effective execution of action plans
  • Support in other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in general insurance, preferably in underwriting area
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to details, with a commitment to accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in PowerBI is an advantage
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese
