Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

AML & Sanction

 

  • Work as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer for suspicious transaction reporting.
  • Lead the Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) and Sanction function, e.g. provide advisory on all AML matters and etc. Ensure that they are in full compliance with local, Group and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure relevant Compliance Manuals and Policies are updated according to current legislative, regulatory, business and Group Compliance requirements. Confirm relevant policy and procedures are in place and effective.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff on compliance-related subject matters.
  • Perform other AML and Sanction duties assigned by line manager to meet operational and/or other requirements.
  • Support in different Anti-Bribery and Corruption tasks.

Reporting

 

  • Prepare management information/report for regular submission to Local management, Group and regulators.

Compliance testing

  • Lead junior Compliance teammates to conduct regular Compliance review/ testing.
  • Undertake monitoring and follow up with relevant stakeholders on agreed actions for any non-compliance issues until they are satisfactorily resolved/implemented.

Training

  • Provide financial crime related compliance trainings and awareness materials to all relevant business and control units.

Project

  • Assist in Group AML & Sanctions Visits and regulatory inspections. Follow up the inspection findings with shareholders until they are satisfactory resolved/implemented.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments.
  • Conduct annual review on high-risk customers.
  • Drive Compliance transformation related projects and implement relevant Compliance programs in the company

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in insurance, financial services industry or regulatory bodies in legal, compliance, management, or internal control functions.
  • Good team player, detail-oriented and self-starter.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently and accomplish task within tight deadline.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, rules and codes of conduct.
  • Hands-on experience in reinsurance and trust-related advisory work.
