Job Description

Major Role Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct regular market comparison for key lines of business focusing on benefit levels, premium levels and customer journey, and share an updated view on complaint ratio, CX and NPS.
  • Engage in discussions on prioritising products that require revamp and/or new products in the market that are worth considering under our insurance appetite, working alongside Business teams, Business Solutions and among Technical Office.
  • Oversee product development cycle – obtain key information around current sales process, conduct market research, design product and obtain green light from approvers with product specifications, engage in product documentation, system set up discussions, work closely with business and marketing teams on “Go to Market” strategy, participate in the product approval process and testing of the product flow before launch; also obtaining feedback upon the revamped/new product launch in order to improve on the next product development where relevant.  
  • Manage ad-hoc requests involving product enquiries, amending product materials, providing updated product information, and sharing any new product trends in the market, etc.
  • Work with Business, Marketing and Customer Engagement teams on Campaigns, and stay up-to-date in the monitoring of campaign take-up rates, in order to share with the management.
  • Provide technical expertise and conducting training to frontline sales, intermediaries, underwriters and to enhance their product knowledge.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. University degree with a major in Business Administration, Finance, or Management Information  
  2. Minimum of 5 years or above relevant experience in the insurance / financial industry. Exposure in commercial package and group insurance product a plus. 
  3. Strong understanding in insurance product design including coverages and their dynamics with the pricing. Experience in drafting product materials, and/or system implementation a plus.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Great organization skills to manage multiple tasks
  6. Good Project Management skills and lead projects independently
  7. Able to work under pressure and tight deadline
  8. Experience in coaching and managing staff is a plus
  9. Good command of written and spoken English
