Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Mainly responsible for handling all Employees’ Compensation claims in Macau of assigned accounts
  • Assist in other lines of business claims if required
  • Ensure that claims are properly handled and settled, and are adequately and suitably reserved
  • Examine claims documents for completeness of requirements and assists in computing claims quantum
  • Follow up on the submission of claims requirements
  • Ensure that vendors are appropriately appointed to assist in best investigation of a claim for reserving and settlement purpose
  • Approve / validate claims settlement and cheque requisitions within the limit of authority
  • Identify and investigate suspicious cases
  • Handle the phone and email enquiry efficiently and professionally to ensure best claim service being provided when answering the requests and inquiries of Insured/ claimants/ agents/ brokers regarding the processing, settlement of claims and explanation for declining claims
  • Keep Insured, agents, brokers, underwriters and any other relevant parties closely informed of the development of claims and a list of suspicious claimants
  • Attend meeting with brokers, agents and/ or clients if required
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments given by superior

 

Qualifications:

  • University level
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Fresh graduates will also be considered
  • Knowledge in Macau Employees' Compensation claims and/ or any other GI insurance products such as Property, Liability, Travel or Home claims
  • Qualified ANZIIF or ACII will be advantageous
  • Proficiency in PC knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Cantonese and English
  • Good negotiation, communication and customer services skills
