Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare commentaries on various business and finance reports
    • Prepare monthly GWP analysis and commentaries, and profitability monitoring
    • Support monthly deliverables, including financial dashboards, profitability, Monthly Business Review and other reports
    • Monitor trends and gaps vs targets

  • Prepare financial projections for P&C and Employee Benefits ("EB") Business Units
    • Contribute to Strategic Plan (SP) financial projection and quarterly forecasting
    • Collect input from different parties including, business teams, accounting teams and actuarial teams for necessary input in carrying out SP projection and forecasting
    • Validate, challenge and counter-propose (if necessary) business inputs used for SP projection and forecasting
    • Prepare commentaries on various deliverables for SP and forecasting
    • Support GI Individual Health financial projection
  • Provide ongoing support to the P&C and EB Business Units
    • Support preparation of ad hoc financial projects for pricing actions, product revamps, profitability review on distribution
      channels and other ad hoc topics
    • Support value-added, deep dive investigations, interpretations and explanations to enable business leaders to
      understand causes and solutions to business challenges
    • Support preparation of summaries, presentations, commentaries, etc. to P&C and EB leadership teams

       
       
       
  • Perform benchmarking analysis on our performance vs key competitors
    • Compare AXA performance against major competitors, collect insights and prepare commentaries based on insights from P&C leaders, and facilitate discussions across different P&C functions
    • Gather information relevant to insurance market and analyse for supporting management decision-making in areas of market opportunity, penetration and development

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in accounting, finance or business administration
  • At least four years of experience, gained in insurance background preferred
  • Student member / finalist of accounting professional bodies preferred
  • Experience in managing financial control and reporting, management information system
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding of respective insurance products features and profit drivers
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to share simple yet accurate messages
  • Fluent in English Chinese
